Since our National Championship in 2009 we picked up a very helpful teammate – Winter Services, Inc.

Winter Services Inc., with over 30 years of combined snow removal management experience, they have the knowledge and resources to handle all your snow removal needs. www.WinterServicesInc.com

With their additional help and sponsorship we have been able to participate in many more events than we typically could in the 09, 10, and 2011 seasons.

Winter Services has provided the La Banco Racing team with tons of support including; Motorola CP200 Walkie Talkies and Headsets, hotel rooms, jerseys for our entire pit crew, shade canopies, food and entertainment, and much more.

One of our walkie talkies got submerged under water during a crash in Pittsburgh, PA in our 2011 season. Winter Services immediately replaced it for us!

It has been an honor for us to have their help and contributions.

Photos of the boat with our sponsors decals coming soon!

We got access to their prototype water proof case which actually floats - in case the camera mount does fail.
The camera connects via Bluetooth to an iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone for configuration before the shot.

It has GPS Logistic & Telemetry Readout when used in conjuncture with software from DashWare.

Here is some footage taken in Kankakee, two weeks before Nationals. After breaking this engine in for a while we took it out and ran a couple laps.

After about 13 minutes “or less” – off the trailer, the engine stuck (middle cylinder)…. right before nationals.

The middle cylinder was pretty snug when we put it all together and it turned out that it was going to be the end of that engine that day.

We immediately rushed out to Fond du Lac, WI – in need of Mike Wienandt’s services and shop WPT. The Wienandt Performance Technology shop has everything you need to build a ruthless SST-60 motor, or fix one. Make sure to check them out at www.WPTRacing.com

We needed to shave down or polish the sleeves from the deep grooves the piston had created (essentially adding some extra tolerances between the new piston and polished sleeve).

Rocketing off the dock from pole position #44 Sam La Banco takes the lead early on and is able to stay ahead and take home the 2nd National Championship in a row.

#80 Brent Dillard, who wrecked his boat early in the weekend’s heat races, was able to get back into the race driving an older hull that hadn’t been raced in almost a decade. Much effort and hard work went into getting that boat race ready and doing as good as it did.
